AC-Series Desuperheater
Effectively heats potable water by recycling the rejected heat from a refrigeration or air conditioning system. It can be applied to both air- and water-cooled systems to:
- Increase the efficiency and capacity of the condenser
- Lower refrigerant temperature
- Reduce the energy needed to heat water
DC Series Chemically Cleanable Desuperheaters
Heats water or other fluids by recycling rejected heat from a refrigeration or air conditioning system, offering the following advantages:
- Eliminates the energy required to heat water
- Enhances system efficiency
- Increases the condenser’s capacity
- Lowers refrigerant temperature
C-Series Light Commercial Desuperheater
Captures waste heat discharged from a condensing unit or air conditioner refrigerant cycle, transferring the heat into a water storage tank to create a low-cost hot water source for domestic use. The desuperheater reduces the amount of energy needed while improving cooling efficiency during operation.
CADS Ammonia Desuperheater / Water Heater
The CADS Series can heat potable water up to 140 ºF by recovering waste heat from industrial refrigeration systems, extending hot water capability and delivering cost-effective energy savings. It also features a vented double-wall construction to prevent cross contamination.
Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers
These heat exchangers are available with nickel or copper brazing materials and are designed with the following properties:
- Compact size
- Low refrigerant charge
- Superior heat transfer
These properties make them ideal for condenser, sub-cooler, and evaporator applications. Standard units have 316 Stainless Steel plates with copper sweat and brazing connections. Most models are U.L. listed for 650 psig DWP.
Liquid-to-Liquid Heat Exchangers
The Hydronic Series is used for the heat transfer of liquids in demanding industrial, residential, and commercial applications, where low maintenance and high performance are critical.
The heavy-duty counter-flow design features an enhanced surface with large fluid circuits that resist debris clogging and are mechanically cleanable on the circuit’s tube side.
Shell Tube Heat Exchangers
These “Chiller-Barrels” feature ring cover construction and heavy-walled ¾” OD enhanced tubing for ease of service. Nominal ton capacity is based on the following criteria:
- 12,000 BTUH per ton
- 44 ºF leaving water temperature
- 10-degree range with R-22 service
- 35 ºF evaporating temperature
Suction Line Heat Exchangers (SLHE)
The following applications benefit from nominal SLHE selections:
- Compressor protection
- Enhanced evaporator capacity
- Oil return
- System stability
Based on system horsepower, they provide a nominal 10 ºF subcooling and 20 ºF suction superheat for a diverse range of heat exchangers. We can meet the unique needs of a specific application with custom lengths, connections, and configurations.
AQUEFIER® Heat Recovery Unit
The AQUEFIER® captures waste heat discharged from a heat pump or air conditioning system, transferring it into a water heater tank to create low-cost hot water for showers, laundry, dishwashers, and more. In addition to the heat recovery unit itself, we also offer a wide variety of components for AQUEFIER® heat recovery units, which are essential for optimizing and maintaining the performance of light commercial and residential water heating systems.
CO2 Vaporizers™
The Doucette Industries CO2 Vaporizer™ captures the heat energy from refrigeration systems to vaporize CO2. The heat exchanger functions similarly to an auxiliary condenser and is installed within the discharge line of the refrigeration compressor.
The advanced heat recovery system is ideal for converting liquid CO2 to gas for bottling operations, protecting against beverage cross-contamination and heat exchanger failure.
